Apps / Folios / terms · Effective 30 August 2026
Terms of use.
These terms cover Folios, published by Enraio. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
1. Your licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Folios on devices you own or control. You do not own the software itself. You may not redistribute it, sell it, rent it, or take it apart in order to build a competing product.
Folios is distributed through the App Store and Google Play. Those stores’ own terms apply to the download and to any payment or refund. Refunds are handled by the store you installed from, not by us.
2. What you write is yours
Your entries, moods, tags and exports belong to you. We claim no licence over them and no ownership of them. We could not use them if we wanted to: they stay on your device and are never uploaded to us. See the privacy policy for the detail.
3. Backups are your responsibility
Folios stores your journal locally and has no account or cloud sync. That has a consequence you should understand before you rely on it:
- Losing the device, uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage deletes your entries permanently.
- We cannot recover your journal, and we cannot reset or recover a PIN or a backup password. We hold no copy and no record of either.
- Export a backup regularly, and keep any backup password somewhere safe — an encrypted backup with a lost password cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
4. Acceptable use
Use Folios lawfully. Do not use it to store or distribute material that is unlawful where you are. Because we cannot see what you write, enforcement of this is a matter for you and the law, not for us.
5. No warranty
Folios is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it is free of defects, that it will suit a particular purpose, or that it will always be available for download.
6. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Enraio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including your statutory consumer rights.
7. Changes to the app and to these terms
We may update Folios, change features, or stop publishing it. We may also update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Goa have jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
